Agriculture and horticulture" />The Government has been taking the lead in adopting green procurement policy. This can also set an example to encourage the business sector to follow. Through consultancy services provided by the Hong Kong Productivity Council since 2000, green specifications for items commonly used by bureaux and departments have been developed. At present, the number of items on the Government green procurement list with green specifications has been expanded to 183 items with 24 product and service categories.
While they are commonly used by bureaux and departments, the public are welcomed to use or make reference to them for adopting green procurement.
